Ahmad Abdo received his B.Eng., M.Eng. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from University of Ottawa, Ottawa, ON, Canada, in 2003, 2006 and 2018 respectively. He has been part of Ciena Corp., based in Ottawa, for more than 15 years where he is currently a principal systems engineer focusing on modem and photonics integration targeting subsea cables applications. He is a holder of 6 patents and more than 30 journal/conference papers. His research interests are mixed-signal design and  digital signal processing in coherent optical links.
