Benyuan Zhu is a Distinguished Member of Technical Staff (DMTS) at OFS Laboratories, where he currently focuses on DWDM transmission, new fibres and amplifier technologies development. He joined Bell Labs, Lucent Technologies in Holmdel, NJ USA as an MTS in 1999, then became MTS at OFS Labs Somerset, NJ. He has authored/ co-authored +200 journal/conference papers, one book chapter, and held 30+ US patents, He has served as technical program committees for the conferences of OFC, IPC, ACP. Benyuan Zhu received Ph.D. degree in Physics from Bath University, UK in 1996
