Darwin Evans is Director of Product Line Management responsible for submarine applications at Ciena.
Darwin received his B.S. in Engineering from the University of Manitoba in 1998 and joined Nortel Networks
working in a number of engineering and product development roles until the acquisition of the Nortel
Metro Ethernet Networks division by Ciena. Darwin was involved in the development of SLTEs for some of
the first subsea 40G and 100G coherent upgrades before being responsible for Submarine Product Line
Management.
