Hitoshi Takeshita received his B.E. and M.E. degrees in Electrical Engineering and information from the University of Tokyo, Japan in 1993 and 1995 and his Ph.D. degree in information and communication engineering from the University of Nagoya, Japan in 2019. In 1995, he joined NEC Corporation, Kawasaki, Japan. He has been engaged in the research and development of flexible core photonic network technologies and high capacity long-haul optical transmission systems. He is a senior member of the Institute of Electronics, Information and Communication Engineers (IEICE), Japan.
