Kristina Skarvang, PhD student, Norwegian University of Science and Technology

Kristina is a PhD student at the SFI Centre for Geophysical Forecasting (CGF), Department of Electronic Systems, Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). She is working on embedding optical polarization-based geophysical activity sensors in optical data communication systems. The project aims to develop a sensor system that can be integrated into an optical fibre infrastructure to differentiate geophysical signals from other activities.
