Dr. Nate Lindsey holds a PhD in Earth and Planetary Science from the University of California, Berkeley in the subject of distributed fiber-optic seismology, and a MSc from the University of Edinburgh in geophysics. His work focuses on human-relevant problems such as critical infrastructure hazard, urban water loss, and tsunami and earthquake early warning. Nate is presently the Vice President of Science and Innovation at FiberSense, a deep tech startup building the first ubiquitous and anonymous sensing as a service platform. Nate’s work has been featured in Science, Physics Today, SPIE, National Geographic, Scientific American, and Wired.
