Siddharth Varughese is a Principal Optical Engineer with Infinera Corporation’s subsea division. He is an experienced researcher and development engineer specializing in performance analysis for optical communication systems. In his current role, he is responsible for designing and conducting field trials over submarine optical cables for next generation optical transceivers. Over the last year, he has been field testing 800G coherent line cards, in both dark fiber and live traffic scenarios.
